Israel denies Mossad involvement in protests.

Israel's government has denied claims that its foreign intelligence service, Mossad, supported nationwide protests against a proposed overhaul of Israel's judiciary, as alleged in leaked documents from the Pentagon. The New York Times published an assessment that Mossad leadership had encouraged its staff and Israeli citizens to join the mass protests, but the Israeli Prime Minister's office called the report "mendacious and without any foundation whatsoever". The proposed legislation would enable parliament to override Supreme Court decisions and control judicial appointments.
