King Charles III and Camilla, the Queen consort, have arrived in Germany for their first state visit abroad since Charles ascended the throne last year. The visit aims to rebuild UK-Germany relations after Brexit and combat Russia’s military action in Ukraine. Charles highlighted the “enduring value” of the relationship between the UK and Germany and praised German expertise in organic farming. The visit will also focus on sustainability and the environment. Charles is set to give a speech to the Bundestag, meet Chancellor Olaf Scholz, talk to Ukrainian refugees, and visit an organic farm outside Berlin.
