Lagos Denies Mass Burial of #EndSARS Victims, Clarifies Controversies

The Lagos State Government has confirmed the award of a contract worth over N61 million for the mass burial of 103 victims of the #EndSARS protests. However, the government clarified that these casualties are not from the Lekki toll gate shooting, which has been a subject of controversy. The bodies were retrieved from various areas across the state, including Fagba, Ketu, Ikorodu, and Ajah. The government stated that no bodies were retrieved from the Lekki Toll Gate incident. The mass burial is part of an effort to decongest morgues and free up space for unclaimed bodies.
