Macron's Ukraine balancing act on China trip.

French President Emmanuel Macron will visit China to dissuade Beijing from supporting Russia's invasion of Ukraine while preserving and rebalancing China's trade ties with Europe and safeguarding French interests in the Asia-Pacific region. Macron will bring a delegation of some 60 business leaders to Beijing, including the bosses of Airbus and EDF, hoping to sign lucrative new contracts. The visit will affect the entire 27-nation European Union, and European Commission chief Ursula von der Leyen will accompany Macron to coordinate their preparations.
