Navalny Ally Fadeyeva Relocated to Detention Facility

Ksenia Fadeyeva, an ally of jailed opposition activist Alexei Navalny and former municipal deputy in Siberia's Tomsk region, has been transferred from house arrest to a detention center. Fadeyeva, who headed Navalny's political office in Tomsk, was sentenced to house arrest for violating court-ordered restrictions on her actions. The prosecution deemed the restrictions too lenient and demanded her transfer to a detention center. Fadeyeva faces up to 12 years in prison if convicted on "extremism" charges. Navalny's political network was designated "extremist" in 2021, putting supporters at risk of criminal prosecution.
