Navalny's prison sentence could extend by 30 years in Russia.

Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny is facing up to 30 more years in prison on charges of "extremism" and other crimes. Navalny's associates fear a harsh verdict, with his spokesperson stating that the trial is entirely fabricated. The trial will be held at the penal colony in the Vladimir region where Navalny is already serving a nine-year sentence. The European Court of Human Rights has ordered Russia to pay Navalny €40,000 ($44,000) in damages for violating the European Convention on Human Rights in relation to his poisoning in 2020.
