Pope Francis Overhauls Vatican City State's Constitution.

Pope Francis issues a new Fundamental Law for Vatican City State, replacing the one from 2000, to respond to the needs of our times and make all international commitments operative for the State. Laymen and women will now be able to take part in the Pontifical Commission, and there will be more stringent regulations for the provisional and final consultative budget. The law confirms the fullness of authority of the Supreme Pontiff and the autonomy of the Vatican legal system.
