Russian spy activity in Germany on the rise.

Germany's domestic intelligence agency, the BfV, has reported an increase in Russian spying and disinformation operations inside Germany in 2022, with China also mentioned as one of the "main players" in spy operations. The BfV also documented a rise in the number of far-right extremists in Germany, with the figure now reaching 38,800, and an increase in the number of left-wing extremists. The agency does not consider the Last Generation, the radical climate protest group, an extremist group.
