Ukraine's Cyber Officials Fired Amid Corruption Probe

Two high-ranking cybersecurity officials in Ukraine, Yurii Shchyhol and Viktor Zhora, have been dismissed amid an investigation into suspected embezzlement of state funds. The firings coincide with an announcement by Ukraine's anti-corruption agencies that they are investigating a software procurement scheme allegedly involving Shchyhol, Zhora, and four other suspects. The suspects are accused of embezzling $1.72 million by classifying software procurement for the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection (SSSCIP). Shchyhol and Zhora deny the allegations and maintain their innocence. These dismissals are part of Ukraine's ongoing anti-corruption efforts.
