U.S. Increases Aid to Ukraine with $2.6 Billion Boost

The US has announced a $2.6 billion military aid package to Ukraine, including $500 million for immediate supplies and $2.1 billion for future purchases of munitions, radar, and other weapons. The aid is aimed at helping Ukraine prepare for a planned spring offensive against Russian troops. The package includes air defense interceptors and munitions, including missiles for NASAMS air defense systems, antiaircraft ammunition, mobile laser-guided rocket systems, and fuel tankers. Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken said the US and its allies will stand united with Ukraine until Russia ends its war.
