US-Saudi Relations: A Complex and Evolving Landscape.

Despite China's recent peace deal between Saudi Arabia and Iran and their status as top importers of Saudi oil, the ties between Saudi Arabia and the US are stronger than ever, according to Fahad Nazer, chief spokesman of the Saudi Embassy in Washington. The relationship has continued to broaden and deepen over the years, with political, security, military, and trade cooperation, as well as new fronts such as cybersecurity, climate change, food security, and space exploration. The $40 billion in bilateral annual trade value supports 165,000 American jobs, and the recent Chinese-brokered peace agreement between Saudi Arabia and Iran does not signify the end of all problems between the two countries.
