Uzbekistan's Presidential Election: Pandey Observes as Incumbent's Rule Extends

Election Commissioner Anup Chandra Pandey is leading a three-member team to Uzbekistan as an international observer for the Presidential elections. The elections, held under the new constitution adopted after a recent referendum, are being closely watched by the international community. Pandey had previously discussed electoral cooperation between India and Uzbekistan, and the Indian delegation has already visited election commissions to understand the electoral administration. Pandey will also interact with the Non-Resident Indian community in Tashkent.
