Hundreds of farmers drove tractors to Brussels, blocking streets and setting fires outside the European Parliament to protest agricultural and environmental regulations, high taxes, and cost-of-living issues. Similar protests have occurred across Europe, with farmers in France, Belgium, and Italy blocking roadways and ports. While E.U. leaders discussed Ukraine and agreed to aid, Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo acknowledged the farmers' challenges and said their pleas would be added to the summit's agenda.
