Pope Calls for Human-Centric AI Governance to Protect Life and Peace

He emphasized that public authorities should guide the humanization of digital technologies so they serve life and peace, warned that rapid AI advances could see humans becoming victims of their own inventions, and stressed that crucial decisions about human life must not be entrusted to machines.
