The Vatican has released a detailed breakdown of its Peter's Pence fund for the second year in a row, aiming to increase transparency after a financial scandal. In 2022, the fund received an income of 107 million euros, with donations accounting for 43.5 million euros and financial procedures contributing 63 million euros. The top donating countries were the US, South Korea, Italy, Brazil, and Germany. The fund's expenses totaled 95.5 million euros, leaving a surplus of 11.5 million euros. The majority of the expenses went towards funding the activities of Vatican dicasteries and promoting charity initiatives. The report also highlighted an increase in the number of entities serving the Holy Father's Apostolic Mission.
