A man who was stranded on an uninhabited island in the Bahamas for three days has been rescued by the US Coast Guard after his boat became disabled. The Coast Guard received a notification about a disabled sailboat firing flares for help near the island of Cay Sal. The stranded sailor was located and supplied with food, water, and a radio for communication. He informed the crew that he had been stranded for three days after his vessel became disabled. The Coast Guard Cutter Paul Clark's crew retrieved the man and transferred him to the Royal Bahamas Defence Force in good health.
