Canadian Pastor Arrested Twice for Protesting Drag Queen Storytime in Calgary
TL;DR
Canadian pastor Derek Reimer was arrested for the second time this month for protesting a drag queen storytime event for kids at a public library. He was taken into custody for breaching release orders from his previous arrest that prohibited him from being within 200 meters of events involving the LGBTQ community. The incident occurred as protests have erupted in the US and around the world over drag queen storytimes, during which the performers read to children in public spaces. Reimer remains in prison as he waits for his court appearance on Friday.
