Massive Demonstrations in France Against Anti-Semitism

More than 180,000 people, including prominent politicians, joined marches across France to condemn the surge in anti-Semitism amid Israel's ongoing war against Hamas in Gaza. Since the war began on October 7, there have been 1,247 anti-Semitic acts, nearly three times as many as in the whole of 2022. The French Prime Minister expressed support for the protest, while the leader of the far-left France Unbowed party and some others questioned the attendance of Marine Le Pen due to her party's roots in anti-Semitism. The marches took place without major incidents, and participants emphasized the importance of combating anti-Semitism and showing solidarity with the Jewish community.
