Miss Calendar Girl, a beauty pageant in South Africa, celebrates diversity by allowing transgender women, gay men, and drag queens to compete against each other. The pageant was founded by Chedino and Keagan Martin after Chedino faced discrimination in traditional pageants. The pageant features 12 contestants, each representing a month of the year, and includes categories such as swimwear, evening wear, and a special outfit reflecting the year's theme. The pageant is self-funded by the Martins and has been held four times since 2015.
