Wrestlers' Indiscipline and Sexual Harassment Complaint Ignored by Officials

The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has formed a three-member ad-hoc committee to handle the day-to-day affairs of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) and conduct the WFI elections within 45 days. IOA president PT Usha rebuked the wrestlers protesting against the mess in the federation, saying they should have shown discipline and not taken their protest to the streets. The wrestlers have been protesting against the allegations of sexual abuse against WFI's head. The sports ministry has listed its actions in the issue, including forming a committee and giving ample chance to the protesting wrestlers to present their case.
