ChatGPT's Church Service Draws Hundreds.

An experimental Lutheran church service almost entirely generated by AI was held at the convention of Protestants in Germany. The service, including the sermon, prayers, and music, was created by ChatGPT and a theologian and philosopher from the University of Vienna. The service was led by four different avatars on the screen, and drew immense interest from the attendees. While some found it off-putting, others were impressed by the experiment. The use of AI in religion has both opportunities and dangers, and the experimental church service showed the limits to implementing artificial AI in church or religion.
