EU Warns Elon Musk: Twitter's Disinformation Rate Under Scrutiny

The EU has warned Elon Musk to comply with new laws on fake news and Russian propaganda after a report revealed that X (formerly known as Twitter) has the highest ratio of disinformation posts among large social media platforms. Facebook ranked as the second worst offender. While Facebook, Google, TikTok, and Microsoft have signed up to the EU's code of practice, Twitter left but is still obligated to comply with the new laws or face a ban across the EU. The EU is particularly concerned about Russian propaganda ahead of key elections in Slovakia and Poland.
