Filipino rescuers moved to tears by death scene in burned ferry.

At least 29 people were killed and seven others remain missing after a ferry caught fire on an overnight trip from Zamboanga city to Jolo town in the southern Philippines. The ferry was carrying 205 passengers and a 35-member crew, and was not overcrowded. The captain ran the ferry aground on an island off Basilan province to give remaining passengers a better chance to survive. The cause of the fire is still unknown, and officials are investigating whether the ferry was seaworthy and if the crew properly guided passengers to safety.
