Ex-husband and in-laws go on trial in Abby Choi’s Hong Kong murder case

A murder trial has begun in Hong Kong for Abby Choi’s ex-husband Alex Kwong, his father Kwong Kau, and his brother Anthony Kwong, who are accused of killing and dismembering Choi in February 2023. If convicted, they face life imprisonment. Parts of Choi’s body were found at a Tai Po unit and investigators later searched a landfill for evidence. The trial is expected to last about 45 days, with dozens of spectators outside the courtroom as the case unfolds.
