"King Charles' Coronation: A Blend of Tradition and Modernity"

King Charles III has been crowned by the Archbishop of Canterbury at Westminster Abbey, with his wife, Camilla, also being crowned as queen. The ceremony included traditional elements such as the anointing, investiture, and homage. King Charles III wore historic coronation robes, including the same Supertunica that his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, wore in 1953. The Ascension gospel choir performed at the ceremony, marking the first time a Black gospel choir has performed at a British monarch's coronation. Camilla's title changed from "Queen Consort" to "Queen" on the day of the coronation.
