Malaysia detains Chinese ship over suspected illegal salvage of British WW2 wrecks.

Malaysia detained a China-registered bulk carrier ship for anchoring in its waters without permission and found cannon shells believed to be from World War Two on board. The discovery comes amid reports of scavengers targeting two British World War Two wrecks off the coast of Malaysia. The British National Museum of the Royal Navy has condemned the "desecration" of the wrecks and Malaysia's Maritime Enforcement Agency is working with other agencies to identify the ammunition found.
