Sudan's Military and RSF at Odds Amid Regional Tensions and Peace Talk Stalemate

Sudan's army chief Abdel Fattah al-Burhan has dismissed reconciliation with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), led by Mohamed Hamdan "Hemedti" Dagalo, despite ceasefire efforts. Al-Burhan accuses the RSF of war crimes and rejects a ceasefire deal signed by Dagalo, while also criticizing international and local support for the RSF. The ongoing conflict has caused significant displacement and al-Burhan has called for citizens to join the military to fight against the RSF, which he claims is supported by the UAE.
