UN and IAEA chiefs express concern over Ukraine nuclear plant situation.

The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, visited the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant in Ukraine to assess potential safety risks after the partial collapse of the Kakhovka dam. The plant has been shut down, but it still needs water to cool the fuel in its reactors and its spent fuel to prevent a meltdown. Grossi said the situation is "serious" but being stabilized, and IAEA inspectors would remain at the site. Any damage to the plant could have "catastrophic consequences," given its location close to the front lines.
