US trims deep-strike assets for NATO as it pivots from Europe

The US plans to withdraw access to deep-strike and other long-range capabilities for NATO, scaling back assets in Europe—including B-2 and B-52 bombers, missile-launching submarines and aircraft carriers, and reducing fighter and aerial-refueling jets—reallocating them to other theaters under NATO’s Force Model.
