Kazakhstan mourns the loss of 14 forestry workers who were killed in a wildfire in the eastern Abai region. The fire is still raging across 43,000 hectares of land, and it could take a few more days to extinguish it. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sacked the Emergencies Minister over the weekend, citing "criminal negligence" behind the disaster. About 1,500 people equipped with hundreds of vehicles and 12 helicopters are working at the scene.
