AB InBev's Struggles Continue as Bud Light Sales Plummet in North America
Anheuser-Busch InBev, the parent company of Bud Light, reported a significant 13.5% decline in U.S. revenue in Q3, with Bud Light sales suffering following a controversial partnership with transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney. The decline in North American sales volume was 17.1% in Q3, and the brand lost its title as the best-selling beer in the U.S. to Modelo Especial. However, AB InBev experienced growth in other markets, including the Middle Americas and Africa. The company recently replaced Modelo as the official beer partner of the UFC, signing a six-year deal with Bud Light having a heavy presence in UFC's content.
