"Culpeper County Sheriff and Associates Arrested for Bribery and Fraud"
Culpeper County Sheriff Scott Howard Jenkins and three other individuals have been charged with bribery and fraud. According to the indictment, Jenkins accepted cash bribes and campaign contributions in exchange for appointing the bribe payors as auxiliary deputy sheriffs and issuing them law enforcement credentials. Jenkins also allegedly assisted one of the bribe payors in falsely obtaining approval for a petition to restore his firearms rights. If convicted, each defendant faces significant prison sentences.
