Broadcom's Reorganization of VMware Excludes End-User Compute Products
Broadcom has reorganized VMware into four divisions following its acquisition, none of which mention end-user compute products. The divisions include VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), Tanzu (TNZ), Software-Defined Edge (SDE), and Application Networking and Security (ANS). The absence of a division dedicated to end-user compute supports rumors that Broadcom has little interest in that product range. VMware CEO Raghu Raghuram has departed, and job cuts are expected. However, Broadcom has retained the vExpert program and VMware User Group (VMUG), indicating its commitment to VMware's community.
