Former NYC Buildings Commissioner Surrenders in Bribery Investigation Linked to Eric Adams Campaign Donors
Former New York City buildings commissioner, Eric Ulrich, surrendered to the Manhattan district attorney's office to face bribery charges along with four other defendants, two of whom donated to Mayor Eric Adams' campaign. Ulrich, who also served as a senior adviser to Adams, is expected to be arraigned later in the day. The charges stem from allegations that Ulrich accepted favors, including a discounted luxury apartment, from a Brooklyn real estate developer. Two other defendants, who have connections to organized crime, are also expected to face charges. Mayor Adams is not expected to be charged but has been implicated in the investigation.
