Disney World arrest ties Esparto fireworks boss to deadly blaze
Kenneth Chee, founder and CEO of Devastating Pyrotechnics, was arrested at Disney World’s Hollywood Studios in Orlando in connection with the July 1, 2025 Esparto explosion that killed seven. Authorities say his company operated an illegal California-wide pyrotechnics network; Chee faces seven counts of murder among other charges as Yolo County grand jury indictments are expected to be announced.
