Microsoft's Acquisition of Activision Blizzard Cleared by Regulators.
The Fair Trade Commission has given unconditional approval for Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard, one of the biggest deals in the gaming industry, filed in April last year. The regulator said the acquisition would not harm competition in the console gaming market due to the low market share of the games developed and distributed by the two firms in Korea. Microsoft said the acquisition would allow it to put more games on its game subscription platform.
