Young Florida pilot survives dramatic ocean ditching as dad notes aviation legacy
Faith Tenkley, 23, survived an engine-failure emergency landing in the Atlantic off Boca Raton after steering toward open water; she swam to shore uninjured and was reunited with her parents. Her father, Chad, a pilot and owner of a Florida aviation company, says flying runs in the family, and Faith has held a pilot’s license for four years; she was en route to the Bahamas to pick up her parents when the incident occurred.
