Deadly Shootings and Homicides in Austin, Texas
A Black woman in her late 20s was shot and killed at the Fort Branch Apartments in northeast Austin. She called 911 to report the shooting, but died before 10:10 p.m. No suspects have been detained or identified, and the victim was the only person inside the apartment. This is Austin's 20th homicide of 2023 and the third homicide investigation APD has begun since Sunday, March 19.
