
Impostor Federal Agents Charged in DC Gold Scam Targeting Elderly Man
Two men, Chu Lin and Xiean Cheng, were charged with second-degree financial fraud after posing as federal agents and targeting an 85-year-old Washington, D.C. resident, convincing him to buy more than $200,000 in gold bars; the gold dealer alerted authorities, and MPD with the FBI arrested them at the victim's home when they attempted to retrieve the gold.
