Databricks has released Dolly 2.0, an open source text-generating AI model that can power apps like chatbots, text summarizers, and basic search engines. Dolly 2.0 is licensed to allow independent developers and companies to use it commercially. The model was trained on a dataset created by thousands of Databricks employees and guided by an open source text-generating model called GPT-J-6B. However, Dolly 2.0 suffers from the same limitations as GPT-J-6B, including generating toxic and offensive responses and being limited to English.
