Biden's Gun Control Executive Order Sparks Controversy and Action from Local Dealers.
Local firearm dealers, including Gray City Guns and Pawn, are continuing with business as usual after President Joe Biden announced an executive order on gun control aimed at increasing background checks and reducing gun violence. Gun vendors like pawn shops and weapons stores are already required to run background checks, however, Biden directed the attorney general to crack down on gun sellers who opt out of the required checks. While some dealers support background checks, they are skeptical that Biden's order will reduce gun violence and may even increase sales. Biden also instructed federal agencies to conduct more public outreach on "red-flag laws."
