Iconic Charlotte Burger Joint, Gus' Sir Beef, Shuts Down After 54 Years
After over 50 years of operation, Gus’ Sir Beef, an iconic restaurant in east Charlotte, has announced its immediate closure due to the cost of repairing the aging building and the strains from COVID-19. The restaurant was known for its fresh vegetables and home-style cooked comfort food. Customers are heartbroken to see another family-owned restaurant shut its doors.
