Chilling surveillance footage captured a convicted criminal attempting to abduct a fifth-grade girl in Glendale, Arizona, as she left her family's apartment for school. The man, identified as Joseph Ruiz, was later arrested on kidnapping and custodial interference charges. The girl managed to escape, thanks to the help of three heroic minors who hid her from the assailant. Ruiz, with a history of violence including a prior conviction for stabbing his mother, did not appear to know the victim.
