43-year-old mystery solved: Woman's body found in Lake Erie identified as Michigan resident.
A body found in 1980 on Ohio's Lake Erie shoreline has been identified through DNA testing and genetic genealogy as that of Patricia Eleanor Greenwood, a Michigan woman who had lived in Traverse City, Bay City, and Saginaw. While a coroner couldn't determine Greenwood's cause of death, Sandusky police Detective Eric Costante suspects she was a homicide victim. Sandusky police continue investigating her death and ask anyone who knew Greenwood to call them.
