Menefee Clinches Texas House District 18 Democratic Runoff
Christian Menefee defeated incumbent Al Green in the Texas House District 18 Democratic runoff, 68.6% to 31.4%, with about 21,000 votes still to be counted. County results showed strong support for Menefee in Harris County (16,757–7,039, 70.4%–29.6%) and Fort Bend (4,921–2,891, 63.0%–37.0%). NBC News projections based on AP vote data indicate a Menefee victory as remaining ballots are tallied.
