Minnesota man handed two life sentences for killing House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband
A Minnesota man, Vance Boelter, was sentenced to two consecutive life terms plus 40 years after pleading guilty to the killings of House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband and the shootings of state Sen. John Hoffman and his wife, in a case that followed months of stalking and a statewide manhunt.
