Visitor-fed bear euthanized in Grand Teton after repeated food encounters
A black bear in Grand Teton National Park was euthanized near Delta Lake after it repeatedly encountered visitors who fed it human food, teaching the animal to approach people for food. Park officials attributed the behavior to visitor negligence and urged campers and hikers to never leave food unattended to prevent future incidents. The bear was tranquilized and euthanized at the scene, with its carcass removed the next day, illustrating how a single careless act can endanger wildlife and park visitors.
