Illegal California Pot Plant Unveils Horrific Human Trafficking Operation
Dozens of individuals who were apparently smuggled into the United States were discovered working and living in "horrible" conditions at an illegal marijuana plant in California's Central Valley. Authorities found 60 people, including one juvenile, processing marijuana in run-down living conditions. The individuals were promised good-paying jobs and a place to stay but were forced to work to pay off their debt to the smugglers. Three goats and two dogs were also rescued. No arrests have been made, but investigators are actively searching for those responsible.
