Spirit AeroSystems Faces Strike Threat Amid Contract Dispute
Spirit AeroSystems is suspending factory production ahead of the expiration of the current contract on Friday, June 23, following the rejection of a new contract offer by union members with International Machinists and Aerospace Workers. The union has approved a strike scheduled to begin at 12:01 a.m. Saturday. All IAM-represented employees are not to report for work but will receive pay for their regularly scheduled work hours.
