Al Jazeera journalist Abudaqa laid to rest after Israeli attack in Gaza
Al Jazeera journalist Samer Abudaqa has been laid to rest in southern Gaza after being killed in an Israeli drone attack. Dozens of mourners, including journalists, attended the funeral. Abudaqa's colleague, Al Jazeera Arabic correspondent Wael Dahdouh, who lost his wife, son, daughter, and grandson in a previous Israeli bombing, was also wounded in the attack. Al Jazeera condemned the attack and called for accountability, as international calls for an independent investigation into Israel's killing of journalists grow. The conflict in Gaza is the deadliest for journalists recorded by the Committee to Protect Journalists.
